Badra is Swiss-Italian, French (EU) and Guinean and grew up in Geneva. He has experience working on features, TV shows, commercials, fashion, documentaries and music videos. He holds an MFA in cinematography from the prestigious American Film Institute in Los Angeles and collaborates with cinematographers such as Todd A. Dos Reis A.S.C and Bradford Young A.S.C.
He also holds a Directing Degree from the Geneva University of Art and Design under the guidance of Albert Serra, Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
Badra is a certified member of the Steadicam Operator's Association, an Associate Member of the Society of Camera Operators and a I.A.TS.E Local 600 Camera and Steadicam Operator. He had the opportunity to train under, Dan Kneece, Geoffrey Haley, Larry McConkey and Garett Brown, the inventor of the Steadicam.
Bilingual in French and English, Badra splits his time between Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Geneva and Paris.
Before working in film, he composed music, played basketball and ice hockey, and worked in private banking in Geneva and London.
